Apple have posted a new version of Workgroup Manager for their new Mountain Lion Server. You can grab it here.
There was a lot of confusion prior to the release of 10.8 server about whether Apple would release this tool considering that the server application now has more functionality.
But without it, mcx preferences wouldn’t be viable. Profiles are the way forward but a lot of sites still rely on good old managed preferences
