You may have noticed that holding down a key under Lion now allows you to select an alternate versions of that character, such as a letter with an accent rather than just repeating that key.
To re-enable the autorepeat run this command in the terminal app, but it does mean you won’t be able to use those cool iOS-inspired, press-hold-and-select-an-accented-character feature.
