As Richard pointed out in his post earlier this year, the MobileMe service is due to close down on the 30th June 2012 from which point, MobileMe will be no longer accessible. 
The service is being replaced by Apple’s iCloud which is a free service up to 5GB after which charges apply.
In order to setup the iCloud service you need to have OS X 10.7 on any machine and/or iOS 5 if you wish to set this up on any mobile devices.
Apple have provided some very useful tips and explanations which may answer any questions that you may have.
