Last week I was experiencing a problem with my voicemail, and after speaking with a few people it seemed to be a common issue. So I’ve written this blog on fixing visual voicemail for iPhone
The Problem:
Voicemail shows that you have a new message, but the play button is greyed out. After doing the usual troubleshooting, (i.e. restart and so on) nothing worked.
The Solution:
I didn’t need to change any of my settings on my voicemail but for some reason it thought that my voicemail password was wrong.
To remedy this, go to Settings > Phone > Change Voicemail Password and enter your password. Once I did this, I could access my voicemail again.
Since I followed these simple steps, my voicemail has been working fine.
Not all carriers support visual voicemail. The following list do:
- O2
- Orange
- T-Mobile
- EE
To find out what your voicemail password is:
Dial your provider’s voicemail number and from there you can change the voicemail settings.
