Apple recently released an update to their Airport Utility and also an updated version of the firmware for their Airport Base stations.
Airport Utility 6.2 for OS X 10.7.5 and later contains improvements and bug fixes, including:
- The ability to extend the Guest WiFi network on a network that is configured with multiple Airport Base Stations
- The ability to add a WPS-capable (WiFi Protected Setup) WiFi printer
- Improved international support
Airport Utility 1.2 for iOS is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad with iOS 5.0 or later. This update contains improvements and bug fixes, including:
- The ability to extend the Guest WiFi network on a network that is configured with multiple Airport base stations
- The ability to add a WPS-capable (WiFi Protected Setup) WiFi printer
- Improved international support
- Enhanced password management
The updated Airport Base Station and Time Capsule Firmware Update 7.6.3 is for all 802.11n Airport Express, 802.11n Airport Extreme and Time Capsule models. This update contains improvements and bug fixes, including:
- Extend the Guest WiFi network for a network configured with multiple Airport Base Stations
- Ability to add a WPS capable (WiFi Protected Setup) WiFi printer
- Support for additional countries
Apple recommends having Airport Utility 5.6 or later installed on your computer before performing the firmware update and as you can see, both the Airport Utility and Firmware updates need to be applied before the new Guest WiFi and WPS printer capabilities can be used.
